Prop Emergency Dispatching will EXPAND THE 911 CALL CENTER

Prop 911 will fund the much-needed expansion of Warren County’s 911 Dispatch Center, which has outgrown its current space since it was built in 1995. This 5,100 Square Foot expansion will allow the center to handle the growing volume of emergency calls caused by the county’s increasing population. It will also provide the capacity to manage multiple incidents simultaneously, ensuring faster, more efficient responses during critical situations. With more room for additional Dispatchers and updated infrastructure, the expanded Center will strengthen coordination between fire, EMS, and law enforcement, improving safety and service for the entire community.

  • Faster Emergency Response Times : An expanded 911 Center with more Dispatchers means quicker call handling and faster dispatching of fire, EMS, and law enforcement to emergencies. This can save lives and minimize property damage during critical situations.

  • Improved Efficiency During Major Emergencies: A larger, modernized facility will better handle multiple incidents at once, such as natural disasters or large-scale accidents, ensuring no emergency goes unanswered.

  • Enhanced Service Quality: More space and updated technology allow Dispatchers to work in an optimized environment, improving communication accuracy and reliability with first responders. This leads to better outcomes for the community during emergencies. This upgrade is particularly crucial since the facility has not been expanded since 1995 and is now too small for current needs.

  • Support for First Responders: By reducing bottlenecks and improving coordination between agencies, the expanded 911 center strengthens support for fire, EMS, and law enforcement, enabling them to serve the community more effectively.

  • Preparedness for Population Growth: Warren County’s growing population has increased the demand for emergency services. Expansion ensures the 911 Center can handle the higher call volumes, preventing delays and missed calls during peak times or major incidents.
