Prop Emergency Dispatching will allow us to expand the public safety radio system

This upgrade will strengthen communication across multiple agencies and add capacity to the radio system, supporting a coordinated, timely response to emergencies across the county. This expansion will allow us to add additional command and tactical radio channels to enhance unified communication during incidents such as large fires, active shooters and natural disasters.

• Supporting Large-Scale and Complex Incidents: The new radio infrastructure will improve the ability to manage large-scale emergencies like natural disasters or multi-vehicle accidents. Having additional tactical radio channels allows agencies to dedicate specific channels for different teams or tasks, preventing congestion on critical communication lines.

• Streamlined Coordination Across Agencies: The upgraded radio system will enable seamless communication across all emergency service agencies, reducing potential delays and allowing dispatchers to relay information more quickly. This is crucial during complex incidents where fire, EMS, and law enforcement are all involved, as it ensures that each agency receives timely updates and coordinated instructions.
